SIGHT SEEING

Trung Som:Buddha Mountain

is set on the outskirts of the main city. This sacred mountain has changed its facade over the past few years due to the ongoing construction of statues and Pagoda temples that are neatly decorated all around. You can ascend via a series of walkways to the main viewing area, giving you astonishing views in the foreground of Ninh Chu and its captivating landscape of villages, salt farm and the all too familiar lush green rice fields. For the more adventurous there is an off the beaten track that meanders through cacti and a small rock face to the reach the very summit and here you will be rewarded with the most spectacular 360° panoramic view of the whole area. It is an absolute must at sunset.

FOOD & DRINK

Cuban Bar and Grill

Exactly as the name suggests this is a great bar and grill offering top-shelf liquors and some mouth-watering dishes including their signature dish the “Sam” Burger with wedges, Ostrich steak and accompanying side salad or perhaps the local spicy seafood salad with prawn crackers. After a hard day’s kitesurfing this is the ideal place visit in Phan Rang as Sam the owner, a friendly Kiwi, will be more than happy to share a cold one with you as you discuss, politics, travel stories, jokes and much more…
