During the main season of November through to March the majority of the kitesurfing activities are done over at the My Hoa and Son Hai lagoon. There are a few establishments to kite from and they all incur rider and service fees. You can choose to just ride for the day or as most people do ride and leave your gear there in a safe and secure lock up. As most of the cheaper accommodation choices are in the city and approximately a 15km drive each way this is a preferred choice for many as it saves having to transport your equipment to and from the spot on scooters. 

During the low season the kitesurfing is mostly over in the Ninh Chu area and there are no fees to pay at the public beach, but no services are provided either. If you were to kite in front of one of the hotels you are obliged to at least eat or drink there during your stay to make use of their facilities.
